In addition to this the 4K HDR X1 Processor includes Sony's Object-based HDR Remaster technology which analyses the objects on screen and adjusts the contrast to produce greater depth and realism.

Super Bitmapping HDR is yet another benefit to the 4K HDR X1 Processor. It looks at gradients of colour on the screen such as the orange glow of a sunset and ensures that the transition between colours is not only smooth but accurate. This eliminates the 'colour banding' effect seen on some other TVs.

New for 2021 is the inclusion of the Google TV operating system this is the successor to the popular Android TV used by Sony in the past. You will still see the same applications available that you know and love such as BBC iPlayer and other catch-up services and popular streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. You will also have access to the Google play store with 1000's of additional apps available. What is new however is the home screen experience.
